Mulled wine is a hot wine-based alcoholic beverage. “Mulled wine” comes from the German word “Glühwein” - flaming wine. Today, people around the world love mulled wine, the recipe in its modern form was invented by the northern Germanic peoples. True, even the Greeks and Romans were preparing something similar to mulled wine, the recipe, however, did not provide for heating.

Ingredients

Strong red wine
750 ml
Orange
1 pcs
Orange juice
400 ml
Cinnamon
2 sticks
Sugar (plain or brown)
125 gr

Directions

Mulled wine step 1
Prepare a list of products to the recipe of mulled wine.
Mulled wine step 2
Combine wine, orange juice, cinnamon sticks and sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Mulled wine step 3
Wash the orange, cut into pieces together with the peel.
Mulled wine step 4
Add slices of orange to the pan with the drink.
Leave the orange mulled wine on low heat for 10 minutes. Do not let the mulled wine boil so that the alcohol does not evaporate!
Mulled wine step 5
Serve the orange mulled wine immediately, hot, spilling the drink in a heat-resistant dishes. Orange and cinnamon can be left.
