First of all, we prepare dried fruits. You can take any at your discretion, the more diverse, the richer the taste of the cake will be. Wash dried fruits, dab excess moisture with a paper towel. Cut them to the size of raisins. The next stage is the soaking of dried fruits in alcohol. To do this, rum, cognac, brandy, liquor are suitable, you can do this in thick fruit and berry syrup or in sweet tea. Pour the prepared dried fruits with alcohol, cover, put in a cool dark place for 3 days.

Pour a mixture of nuts on a baking sheet, dry them for 10 minutes. We take out of the oven, remove from the baking sheet, let cool. Beat softened butter with sugar. Add one egg each, whisking each time until smooth. In the egg-oil mass, add honey, vanilla extract, salt, ground cinnamon, a mixture of spices and the zest of one orange. Mix well. Sift the flour, add in parts to the resulting mass, mix until smooth. Add dried fruits and nuts chopped to medium size in the dough, mix until combined.

We shift the dough into the form. Remember, the larger the form, the longer the cake is baked. I have silicone molds, if you have metal, grease them with butter. Place the cake with the molds in a deep pan, fill it with hot water until the middle of the cake. Bake a cupcake in an oven preheated to 150 degrees for one hour. We switch the oven to 130 degrees, cover the form with foil, bake another 2-3 hours until cooked. Check for a dry wooden skewer. We take out the finished cupcake from the oven, let it cool slightly in shape. Then remove from the mold, completely cool. Pierce the cooled cake with a wooden skewer, saturate it with alcohol, let it soak in, saturate it again with alcohol.

Wrap the cupcake in two layers of baking paper and in foil. We put it in a tightly closed container, store for 2-3 weeks. Periodically unfold the cupcake, soak it with alcohol and pack it again. Thus, the cupcake ripens, and the fruits become almost like marmalade.
Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar or melted chocolate. Decorate as desired.
